Postdoctoral Researcher in Bioinformatics and Genetics


My current research focuses on the evolutionary analysis of pathogens at both the population and molecular levels. I am particularly interested in designing, developing, and implementing evolutionary models and methods for simulating and analyzing genetic data. I am currently exploring the prediction of the evolutionary dynamics of viruses. Additionally, I aim to integrate molecular evolution and population genetics with computational structural biology to enhance the design of molecular therapies against pathogens, especially viruses.

Positions and Experience

I hold a degree in Biology from the Universidade de Vigo, along with a Master's degree in Genetics and Genomics, also obtained from the same institution. Then, I enrolled the CME Lab to study the genetic gradients of modern humans of the Iberian Peninsula. Later, I finished my doctoral studies entilteld "Monitoring the evolution of drug targets of pathogens to improve the design of therapies".
